Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP & Payroll Specialist to join our fast-paced, growth-focused finance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable and payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. This is a high-impact position where you will assist with the preparation of financial reports, support audit and compliance efforts, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company. You will collaborate across teams including finance, HR, and operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:

Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll across 20+ different states, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

State Registration & Compliance:

Oversee and own state registration, state tax withholding, state unemployment, and the associated responsibilities to ensure compliance with state-specific regulations.

Accounts Payable:

Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying, coding, and entering invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Reconciliation:

Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and vendor accounts, to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Policy Development & Maintenance:

Assist in creating, documenting, and maintaining internal policies and procedures related to accounts payable and payroll.

Audit & Compliance:

Support audit requests by preparing supporting documentation and ensuring timely and accurate responses.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with finance, HR, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial information and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in accounts payable and payroll processing, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment. Experience with processing payroll in Paycom is preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a strong ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems is a plus.

Location:

Tampa, FL office

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Multiple video meetings each day where web camera use is required.

Schedule:

Full time, 40 hours each week Monday through Friday, core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM locally with occasional flexibility for collaboration across time zones or to meet critical deadlines.
