Opportunity:

Ledgent Accounting & Finance is hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable & Cash Application Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled AR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a mix of cash application, credit review, and customer interaction.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate cash application, managing customer accounts, and supporting the credit and collections process. This position plays a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and positive client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply daily cash receipts (checks, ACH, wire transfers) to customer accounts Process and reconcile customer refunds, credits, and adjustments Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments Maintain accurate documentation of all cash application activity Send monthly AR aging reports to customers and vendors Follow up with customers on past-due accounts and maintain collection notes Review new customer credit applications and pull credit reports Recommend credit limits to the Controller/Senior Accountant Prepare and issue lien releases as required Respond to customer and sales team inquiries related to payments and accounts Utilize NACM tools and resources when needed

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with a strong focus on cash application Experience with Microsoft Dynamics – Great Plains is a plus Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain Affiliation with NACM preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Familiarity with lien processes is a bonus Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Why Work With Us?
