POSITION OVERVIEW

A Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s financial processes. The Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable and receivable, process payroll, and prepare financial reports, all while adhering to legal and regulatory standards. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Must have experience with Restaurant365.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOOKKEEPER

Maintain precise and well-organized financial records for all restaurant branches.
Supervise and enhance the process for gathering and logging invoices from each branch.
Perform routine audits of invoices and reconcile accounts promptly and accurately.
Extract daily financial and labor reports from Restaurant365 to support management in making informed operational decisions.
Track labor and cost trends to identify efficiency improvement opportunities.
Provide assistance with various daily administrative and secretarial duties as required.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax regulations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE BOOKKEEPER

5+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for those in the restaurant or hospitality sectors.
Extensive proficiency in using Restaurant365 (mandatory).
In-depth knowledge of restaurant cost structures, labor analysis, and financial reporting.
5+ years of experience handling accounts payable, account reconciliations, and overseeing monthly closings.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE BOOKKEEPER

10+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for those in the restaurant or hospitality sectors.
Extensive proficiency in using Restaurant365 (mandatory).
In-depth knowledge of restaurant cost structures, labor analysis, and financial reporting.
10+ years of experience handling accounts payable, account reconciliations, and overseeing monthly closings.
Experience with tax preparation and financial compliance is advantageous.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
