Full-Time Bookkeeper – Medical Practice/Home Healthcare Advanced Wound Care, LLC. Position Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, managing vendor payments, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a healthcare setting—preferably with medical practices or home health agencies—and be comfortable with the nuances of healthcare billing, reimbursements, and compliance. Responsibilities Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts Reconcile bank and credit card statements Manage accounts payable and receivable Process biweekly payroll and track employee time Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial audits Track reimbursements, insurance payments, and provider expenses Support billing and compliance efforts as needed Communicate with external CPA or tax professionals Skills Proficient in corporate accounting principles and practices. Medical Practice/Home Healthcare Experience Preferred Strong experience with QuickBooks and general ledger accounting. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to perform account reconciliation efficiently. Strong analytical skills for effective account analysis. Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and management.
Qualifications:
3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare environment Strong understanding of healthcare financial workflows (billing, reimbursements, vendor payments) Proficiency with QuickBooks (Online preferred) and Excel Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Gusto, ADP, or similar) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
Preferred Experience:
