EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties are normal for this position. Employee in this position calculates and prepares weekly payroll including union employees. Audits invoices and purchase orders for weekly accounts payable processing. Reconciles various daily cash receipt collections to cash and subsidiaries then prepares journal entries for posting to the G/L. Maintains personnel/payroll data base including pay rate, tax status, voluntary deductions including credit union, union dues, insurance contributions, flex contributions, deferred compensation, and mandatory deductions including payroll taxes, child support deduction orders, IRS garnishments, and pension contributions. Work is performed under the general supervision of Assistant Finance Director. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required or assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Must have a thorough knowledge of modern office procedures and practices related to accounting operations. Requires the ability to follow complex instructions with minimum supervision. Must be capable of working on multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Village employees, outside professionals and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Skilled in the operation of calculators, computers and related office equipment. Must demonstrate experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

ENVIRONMENTAL
CONDITIONSWorks indoors in an air-conditioned office environment, with some noise from computers and other office machinery.
