Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support the Accounting Manager with various bookkeeping and financial tasks within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related functions.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) data with precision and efficiency.
- Generate and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Conduct follow-ups on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
- Organize and maintain accounting records and reports for easy access and compliance.
- Perform assigned tasks with a focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace by following established procedures and regulations.
- Optimize resource usage by operating equipment and supplies responsibly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and complete related tasks as needed. Requirements
- Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Experience with general ledger management and bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with purchase orders and annual physical inventory procedures.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to perform check runs and other auditing tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
