Edgewater’s unique focus is on the micro and middle market segments in secondary and tertiary locations Job Post Edgewater Group is searching for an experienced Accountants Payable Coordinator for their Tallahassee, FL office. This hands-on role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process including maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statement reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities across the Parent and Subsidiary companies including general ledger preparation, cash management, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Works closely with Accountant to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, and the timely reporting of financial information.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure both internally and parent requirements.
- Work with other accounting specialists to ensure that all monthly accounting and general ledger requirements are completed timely and accurate.
- Complete monthly accounting and general ledger activities for subsidiaries including intercompany transactions.
- Work with treasurer to ensure the daily banking and cash flow management requirements are met.
- Work with accounting team to ensure all bank reconciliations are done in a timely manner
- Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years experience in Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliations
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
- 2-3 years experience preferred
- M3, Sage Intacct, Quickbooks preferred Please submit your resume for immediate consideration.
