About You You are great at attention to detail and understand the critical importance your role plays in maintaining the health and success of the organization. You are experienced in QuickBooks Desktop and Online. You have excellent computer skills, Excel skills, strong math skills and a strong familiarity with bookkeeping practices. You will help to ensure that all the accounts receivable and accounts payable by our company are carried out efficiently and effectively. You value people and have great interpersonal skills. You are analytical and pay attention to detail. Job Responsibilities As an Accounting / Bookkeeper, you will oversee and manage financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Your key responsibilities include:
Recording Financial Transactions:
Accurately record all income, expenses, and financial activities using accounting software.
Maintaining General Ledger:
Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reconciling accounts and correcting discrepancies.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Track invoices, payments, and overdue accounts while maintaining strong vendor and client relationships.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies. Prepare monthly customer special billing. Responsible for sales tax, fictitious name filing, hauling permit, truck registration. Work closely with the Accounting Manager for month end closings. Maintain WBENC (Women Owned Certification) for medical waste business. Provide excellent communication with customers, vendors and the internal team. Communicate regularly with the Accounting Manager, Owner, Vice President and operation team regarding status of vendor and customer accounts. Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
QUALIFICATIONS
You must have great communication and attention to detail and be able to work independently and make decisions. You must have incredible organizational skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma required. Must have minimum 2 years office experience. QuickBooks experience required. Multitasking skills for managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and using formulas. Must be excellent with computers and software programs.
Strong customer service skills:
values customers and communicate with them in a professional manner. Must pass the background check. HOURS Monday-Friday 9am-5pm in office
COMPENSATION
- Compensation $22-$24/hour, commensurate with experience.
- Simple IRA employer match of up to 3% of W2 earnings after first six months

Note:
