357353-DG We’re hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the finance team at a growing financial services firm in Miami. This individual will handle the daily AP operations, maintain accurate records, and help ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review invoices, ensuring all approvals and documentation are accurate before issuing payments. Assign proper coding to accounts and departments. Manage outgoing payments via ACH, wire transfers, checks, etc., while adhering to vendor terms and internal guidelines. Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address invoice or payment discrepancies and maintain strong relationships. Reconcile AP records and resolve any mismatches between internal data and vendor statements. Keep organized and complete records of all AP activities, including invoices, payments, and correspondence. Audit and verify employee expense reports to confirm alignment with company policies.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior experience in accounts payable or similar roles, ideally within the financial or banking industry. Proficient in financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks. Strong Excel skills, including use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Familiarity with banking-related payment processes is a plus High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial work.
