The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in invoice processing, vendor communication, and general accounts payable functions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable collaborating across departments.. Duties Assist with streamlining the Accounts Payable process across multiple business locations. Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper documentation. Match invoices with purchase orders and receivers for approval. Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or clarify billing information. Code invoices with appropriate general ledger accounts and department codes. Accurately enter payable invoices into the accounting system within established deadlines. Apply claims or adjustments to vendor invoices as needed. Organize and maintain records of paid invoices and other documentation for audit and reference. Support payment processing through checks, wires, or ACH to ensure timely vendor payments. Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding invoices. Assist the accounting team with ad hoc projects and general administrative support. Prepare and support year-end 1099 processing. Skills High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables a +. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and interact effectively with internal teams. This is a full-time temporary position, with potential for extension based on business needs.
