Position Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for submitting client invoices through various online platforms, managing our firm’s outgoing invoices, performing data entry, and assisting with general office duties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit client invoices using various billing and legal management platforms (e.g., Legal Tracker, Legal X, CaseGlide, Acuity, etc.) Submit firm-related invoices to clients and vendors Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date financial records Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments as needed Support office operations with occasional administrative tasks (e.g., filing, scanning, document management) Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure timely billing and compliance with client guidelines
Qualifications:
Prior experience in bookkeeping or billing, preferably in a legal or professional services setting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Familiarity with online billing platforms used by law firms is a plus Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently High degree of discretion and professionalism
