POSITION SUMMARY

As a Full Charge Bookkeeper your primary responsibilities are accurate financial record-keeping, timely delivery of financial reports, proactive management of accounts payable and receivable and compliance enforcement of accounting, financial, security and privacy standards in all documentation. Great Full Charge Bookkeepers not only excel in these responsibilities but also go the extra mile to enhance financial operations and contribute to the organization’s financial well-being. The goal of this position is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Finance and Accounting department and ensuring the organization is fully aware of its financial condition, allowing the correct decisions to be made in order for the organization to accomplish long term success and scalable growth.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with a unique ability to deliver results. Other responsibilities include reconciliations, budget management, tax compliance, financial analysis, opportunity identification, enforcement of systems and protocols and staying current with accounting, financial and tax regulations.

OBJECTIVES

Develop a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Manage all outsourced functions Develop professionally by remaining aware of new state and federal regulations, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications Ensure that all accounts payable are paid timely and all reasonable discounts are taken on invoices Track and monitor accounts receivable ensuring it is zero, and refund customers promptly Update, verify, and maintain financial records Process payroll in a timely manner Ensure that monthly bank and credit card reconciliations are completed Ensure that required debt payments (company credit cards, loans, or lines of credit) are paid on a timely basis Prepare checks, payments, and bank deposits Develop and maintain an orderly accounting filing system (paper or digital) Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions Work closely with owners, general manager, project managers, and office team members Issue timely and complete financial statements Participate in the development of annual budget and revenue forecasts Identify, propose solutions, and calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to ownership Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Coordinate the preparation and compilation of year-end reporting, financial statements, and reconciliations for a certified public accountant (CPA) firm, for tax-return preparation Reconcile all balance-sheet accounts on a monthly basis Assist in measuring KPIs and preparing reporting, as requested Manage the company’s audit (if applicable) and tax preparation by coordinating with external professionals as necessary

COMPETENCIES

In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial regulation and best practices to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance Ability to conduct financial analysis, identify trends and spot opportunities for cost savings and process enhancement. Exceptional accuracy and an eye for detail in financial record-keeping and reporting. Excellent time management skills to meet reporting deadlines and ensure timely processing of financial transactions. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal to convey financial data and insights effectively Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Quick learner and an analytical acumen.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors or associate degree in accounting and finance, or equivalent business experience Certified Full Charge Bookkeeper with up to date training preferred At least 5 years of experience Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and ERP Systems (preferred) Experience with financial reporting requirements Must pass background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Perform work with OSHA required PPE; Including
