Accounting Assistant Modern Home Concepts Orlando, FL 32824 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations by performing various tasks related to financial recordkeeping and reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in relevant software tools. Responsibilities Assist with accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records. Prepare journal entries and assist in the month-end close process. Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation for audits. Skills Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktops is preferred. Experience with general ledger reconciliation and journal entries is essential. Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and double entry bookkeeping is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
