Accounting Specialist Position Available In Orange, Florida

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting functions, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and assisting with financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for working and supporting a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Manage weekly check runs, considering payment schedules, terms, and cash flow availability.
• Record incoming donations, grants, and fundraising revenue accurately in the accounting system.
• Allocate funds based on donor specifications to ensure proper intent is met.
• Match payments with corresponding invoices or revenue accounts for accurate record-keeping.
• Reconcile financial accounts on a monthly basis to maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
• Prepare financial statements and reports to support organizational decision-making.
• Utilize QuickBooks for efficient accounting and financial management processes. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and reconciliation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in invoice processing and record-keeping.
• Ability to manage billing functions effectively and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with donor fund allocation and revenue tracking.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
