Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In Orange, Florida

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, including accounts payable and vendor management. Responsibilities:

• Respond to inquiries from restaurant managers and directors regarding vendor payment statuses and related concerns.
• Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to efficiently manage and analyze large datasets.
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ensuring completeness and accuracy of AP transactions.
• Address and resolve escalated issues involving vendor invoices and payments.
• Process and troubleshoot alcohol check payment discrepancies.
• Manage and process invoices for national accounts with centralized billing systems.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements for non-consolidated national accounts.
• Assist restaurant operators with questions related to profit and loss (P& L) statements.
• Approve invoice processing corrections submitted by the offshore team.
• Deliver ongoing training and quality development for offshore team members.
• Investigate and recover accounts payable vendor debit balances.
• Support month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Contribute to special projects and provide back-up support for other Accounts Payable functions as needed. Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel using advanced functions like XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
• Experience in Oracle and other ERP software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions.
• Experience in analyzing and resolving financial discrepancies.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and resolve payment issues promptly.
• Familiarity with financial statements, including profit and loss (P& L) statements.
• Proficiency with other accounting software programs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
