Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will handle essential financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing accounts payable and vendor-related processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization. This is a hybrid opportunity, with a combination of remote work and in-office presence required.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all information is verified and coded correctly.
- Maintain and update vendor records, including managing changes to contact details or payment information.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and collect overdue invoices.
- Perform data entry tasks to record financial transactions into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address issues related to purchase orders and invoice approvals.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist in month-end closing processes as needed.
- Support the accounts receivable team by handling related tasks when required.
- Utilize ERP or accounting software systems to manage and track financial data effectively.
- Monitor vendor accounts to ensure timely payments and compliance with company policies. Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
- Experienced in Great Plains (GPAC).
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
- Proficiency in using accounting software systems and ERP platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice entry and vendor management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes is a plus.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
