Clinical Research Finance Specialist Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Research Finance Specialist to manage accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. This role involves performing daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data. The successful candidate will also prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits, as well as reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Responsibilities + Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. + Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data. + Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits. + Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. + Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues. + Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients. + Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status. Essential Skills + At least 2 years of solid experience in accounts receivable. + Previous experience in clinical research. + Understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations. + Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. + Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. + Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or other full-scale ER software). + Proficiency in English and MS Office. + Customer service orientation and negotiation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with PeopleSoft, Clinical Conductor, and Excel. + Strong understanding of accounts receivable, data entry, reconciliation, and invoicing. Work Environment This position is fully remote, offering the opportunity to work with one of the nation’s top hospital and research systems. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
