Accounting Position Objective/Description:

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Controller and Accounting Department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks. This includes invoice processing, enforcing deadlines, and assisting in the implementation of internal controls.

Assist the Controller with various accounting tasks Assist with processing invoices and track timely payment Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices Track and enforce accounting deadlines Help enforce internal controls and accounting policies Perform other duties as required to support the

Accounting Department Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting Some college and construction industry experience preferred

Work Environment:

Work is predominantly indoors within a usually quiet to moderately noisy environment. Considerable time is spent working/sitting in front of a computer. Regular business hours apply, though overtime may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
