Accounting Specialist Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team in Riviera Beach, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and grow within the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, familiarity with financial systems, and a positive, collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support organizational decision-making.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, including creating pivot tables and performing VLOOKUPs.
• Assist with accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Leverage ERP systems, such as Great Plains Dynamics, to streamline accounting operations.
• Collaborate with the AR Manager to address discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support payroll functions using tools like ADP to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Contribute to billing activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Requirements
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or business is required.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable and general accounting functions.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems such as Great Plains Dynamics.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• A background in municipal accounting is a plus.
• Positive, team-oriented personality with a focus on efficiency.
