POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for handling the full cycle of accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and reconciliations. This is a fully onsite position and offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative finance team in a dynamic and growing real estate environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Process high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
Review and verify invoices and check requests.
Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper approvals.
Prepare and perform check runs and ACH payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Assist with month-end closing and reporting related to payables.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment status.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Prior experience in the real estate or property management industry.
Familiarity with Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate accounting software.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
