Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payment Poster to join our billing team at a dynamic mental health facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payment posting, insurance remittance processing, and CMD (Collaborate MD) software. This role is essential in ensuring accurate application of payments and maintaining financial accuracy across patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately post insurance payments, patient payments, and electronic remittances (ERA/EOBs) into the practice management system. Review and reconcile payments with remittance advice documents. Identify and resolve discrepancies in payment applications and denials. Collaborate with billing specialists and other departments to ensure accurate revenue cycle operations. Maintain detailed records of posted payments for auditing and reporting purposes. Utilize Collaborate MD system to review and validate documentation related to billing. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information. Assist in month-end reporting and account reconciliation processes. Support accounts receivable team with adjustments and rejections when necessary.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of payment posting experience in a behavioral or mental health care setting. CMD with Collaborate MD experience required. Strong knowledge of healthcare billing processes, insurance terminology, and reimbursement procedures. Proficiency with billing software and EHR/EMR systems; experience with CMD-integrated platforms is a plus. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

Onsite work setting. Regular use of computers, office equipment, and healthcare software systems.
