Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Delray Beach, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction accounting who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the company’s overall financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle AIA billing and lien releases to support construction project requirements.
- Perform month-end close procedures, reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements.
- Utilize the Vista ViewPoint software to manage financial data and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records for all construction-related accounting activities, including job costing and project budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment between financial records and project goals.
- Monitor and manage compliance with industry-specific accounting standards and practices.
- Assist with transitioning financial data from previous systems to Vista ViewPoint as needed.
- Generate detailed reports for senior management to support decision-making and financial planning. Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Vista ViewPoint software and familiarity with accounting for construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and AIA billing processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of lien releases and compliance requirements within the construction sector.
- Experience with month-end closing procedures and preparing financial statements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
