Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day payment obligations. This includes processing invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and process incoming vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents (3-way match) Prepare and process check runs, electronic payments, and ACH transfers Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies Maintain accurate and organized AP records and files Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner Assist with month-end close activities and reporting as needed Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred) 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Good communication and problem-solving skills All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
