Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor communications, and maintaining organized financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Perform full-cycle accounts payable tasks, including coding, matching, and data entry.
- Prepare documentation for check runs and ensure timely payments are made.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
- Assist with monthly closing activities and provide support for financial reporting.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records, including filing AP-related documents.
- Develop and update a comprehensive procedure manual for accounts payable tasks to support backup assistance when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining high accuracy in data entry. Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including coding, matching, and reconciliation.
- Exceptional data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for clear and effective interactions with vendors and internal teams.
