Job Description
Accounts Payable Specialist – Clearwater, FL We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Clearwater, FL. This position is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and maintaining effective communication with vendors and internal departments. The ideal candidate has at least two years of AP experience and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness. Verify proper coding, approvals, and documentation for all payables. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies. Prepare and process weekly payments, including checks, ACH, and wires. Maintain up-to-date and accurate AP records and files. Assist with month-end close procedures related to payables. Respond to vendor inquiries and manage vendor relationships professionally. Support annual 1099 processing and audits as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience. High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of AP procedures and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP). Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
