Job Description
Position Overview As an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist, you will manage a substantial portfolio of commercial accounts, driving timely payments while maintaining positive customer relationships. This role balances analytical skills with proactive communication to optimize cash flow and ensure financial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio Management:
Oversee approximately 800 B2B accounts, monitoring aging reports and strategically prioritizing collection activities to maintain optimal Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics.
Collection Strategy:
Implement effective collection procedures including payment reminders, account holds, and personalized outreach via phone and email to resolve outstanding balances.
Customer Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts receivable inquiries, providing professional and solution-oriented responses to customer payment questions.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of all collection activities and customer interactions within the AR system, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Partner with Sales teams regarding delinquent accounts, coordinating strategic approaches to resolve payment issues while preserving valuable customer relationships.
Account Reconciliation:
Perform detailed account analyses to identify discrepancies, recognize deduction patterns, and highlight potential operational improvements.
Order Management:
Review credit hold reports daily, making informed decisions about order releases based on account status and payment history.
