Min $60,756.80 Mid $75,940.80 Position Summary Responsible for supervising the accounting related activities for Lakeland Regional Health Systems and affiliated entities. Responsible for the integrity of accounting records including adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, implementation and management of the system of internal controls, maintenance of the General Ledger System, and record retention in accordance with hospital policy and governmental regulations. Standard Work:

Accounting Supervisor Works collaboratively within a leadership team to achieve division and organizational goals and objectives. Coordinate year-end and interim audit with external auditors. Responsible for ensuring proper internal controls over all accounting system transactions. Develops documentation, recommends processes to maintain strong internal controls. Monitor the company’s accounting system and the accounting reporting structure. Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives. Compiles and prepares financial reports for internal and external users. Prepares schedules, supporting documents and other analytical reports for management. Assists in the preparation of the annual 990 tax returns and 1099R tax documents and regulatory reporting requirements with the State of Florida. Responsible for gathering and recording investment activity for all entities and reconciling each account by plan on a monthly basis. Performs monthly analysis, intercompany allocations and prepares journal entries for the preparation of financial statements. Provides maintenance of the general ledger chart of accounts. Supervises Restricted funds accounting related to the foundation, grants and research. Maintains all financial records, reports and reconciliations for the Foundation, endowments, charitable gift annuities and grants. Develops, maintains and reconciles the accounting records for all the Clinical Trials. Prepares interim and year-end audit schedules. Research accounting and other technical or specialized pronouncements and guidelines for new and existing business issues of complex scope and provides feedback and analysis to managers/directors. Performs, on a monthly basis, balance sheet account reconciliations for accounts assigned. Complies with grant reporting requirements by preparing reporting packages and assists with the A-133 Single Audit (when applicable). Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual knowledge, skills, performance and behavior in accordance with the hospitals, division and department’s standards, policies and procedures. Supervisor/Team Lead Capabilities Demonstrates accountability for shift/team operations and care/service delivery to support achievement of organizational priorities. Coaches front line team members to support ongoing professional development and hardwire technical and professional capabilities.
