Full Job Description Position Summary:

Take ownership of all facets of accounts receivable management, maintaining records with a high degree of accuracy. Ability and willingness to handle high volume transactional data accurately and expeditiously. Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with other departments to meet objectives of this position and the overall accounting/finance department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming emailed invoices, statements and other correspondence from vendors, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure prompt processing of request(s)
• Performs bookkeeping and administration functions required to effectively administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central accounting system for accurate financial reporting and business management.as it relates to Accounts Receivable
• Performs lien administration from filing Notice to Owners to lien releases
• Prepare and generate Accounts Receivable related reports as necessary and according to schedule
• Monitor aging report in accounting system to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors, In collaboration with CFO, research and resolve receivable discrepancies by collaborating and enlisting the assistance of relevant stakeholders
• As directed by supervisor, provides liaison with external accountant, bank, factoring company, vendors, customers and other external agencies/stakeholders
• Other ad hoc tasks as necessary and required
• Assist team members in managing incoming phone calls and directing callers to appropriate party/parties
• Willingness and ability to cross train in Accounts Payable functions as needed
• Work closely in partnership with the sales team in all aspects of collection
• Assist with special projects as needed

They must be able to bridge the gap between company and customer needs

Work Environment:

• The environmental conditions of the area in which the Accounts Receivable Specialist shall perform his/her duties shall vary from normal office conditions with controlled temperature and humidity to an outdoor environment with outdoor conditions
• This is a M-F on-site position.

Additional hours beyond 40 hours per week may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Must have visual acuity necessary to read material composed on video display terminals
• Must have the ability to move from place to place within the building
• Must be able to complete repetitive motion of hands and arms to input/retrieve information from computer
• Must be able to bend/reach to get materials from floor, high and low shelves
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Basics

• Must pass a drug test
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass Pre-employment Test(s) (If applicable)
• Must pass

Pre-employment Physical Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ Years Accounting Experience
• 3+ Years in construction, distribution and/or service organization
• Associates Degree or higher preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• MS Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting system
• Experience with Statement of Values/Progress Billing
• Experience managing sales tax with Avalara preferred
