We’re seeking a Commercial Real Estate Bookkeeper to join a boutique commercial real estate development firm in a multifaceted role that blends bookkeeping and financial operations, office management, and executive administrative support. This is a key support position, ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. As the Commercial Real Estate Bookkeeper, you’ll support the day-to-day financial health of the business while ensuring smooth office operations and providing high-level support to the principals. What Makes the Job Great Flexible work schedule and work/life balance Supportive, respectful, and professional workplace culture Exposure to multiple aspects of commercial real estate development What You’ll Be Doing Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain accurate and organized financial records across all accounts using Yardi Breeze Premier and QuickBooks accounting software Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and billing Reconcile bank accounts, facilitate deposits, and complete journal entries Track and reconcile project expenses, vendor payments and invoices Assist with month-end and year-end closings Prepare and analyze income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports Support financial modeling and forecasting for new development opportunities Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies Office Management Serve as the welcoming point of contact for all visitors, clients, and partners in a polished and courteous manner Monitor and manage the company’s general email inbox, facilitating requests, and escalating time-sensitive matters as needed Oversee daily office operations, including vendor relationships, ordering supplies, and maintaining a professional workspace Manage subscriptions, accounts, and service providers to support ongoing business needs Address and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise Executive Assistant Support Provide administrative support to the principals, including calendar coordination and scheduling Assist with the preparation of documents, presentations, reports, and internal memos Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare detailed itineraries Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information Who We’re Looking For
- Commercial Real Estate Bookkeeper Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience Minimum of 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Proficiency in QuickBooks is required, Yardi Breeze Premier is preferred Previous experience in the real estate industry, preferably commercial development, is strongly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams) Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities independently High level of accuracy, organization, and professionalism What You Can Expect•Commercial Real Estate Bookkeeper $55,000•$70,000/annual salary, depending on experience Flexible weekday schedule with 30-40 hours per week Paid holidays and vacation time StaffBuildersHR offers weekly pay plus a benefits package after your temporary period.
