Finance Assistant 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Sarasota, FL 34243 Finance Assistant The Sarasota Ballet is looking for an exceptionally detail oriented and self-motivated individual to join our administrative team as a Finance Assistant. The Finance Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Finance/Office Manager. This position supports the overall needs of the Finance department by providing efficient and accurate data entry and clerical support for accounting and executives’ daily operations as well as additional assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts receivable and enter cash receipts. Process weekly accounts payable entries and maintain Accounts Payable inbox. Enter Company credit card receipts and manage the reconciliation process. Ensure data is entered in a timely manner completely and accurately. Organize and maintain accounting files. Assist with month end close, fiscal year end, and yearly audit. Additional tasks as assigned by Finance/Office Manager. Serves as backup to Finance/Office Manager.

Education & Qualifications:

College degree preferred; may substitute combination of education, training and expertise. Minimum of two years of accounting experience. Excellent computer skills with experience using QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel. Tessitura experience a plus. Experience working within a nonprofit is highly desirable. Data entry experience with an ability to record data accurately and timely. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to find and correct data mistakes. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment. Hours are flexible within Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Maximum 29 hours weekly.

Pay Range:

$20-25/ hour
