Accounts Receivable Specialist Confidential Longwood, FL 32750 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to support our financial operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and submit progress billings on paper and through customer portals i.e. Textura Maintain Excel spreadsheets for billing and collections Monitor accounts for timely collections and follow up on past-due accounts Post cash receipt applications Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies Process lien waivers, change orders, and billing documentation as needed Collaborate with project managers and the accounting team to ensure billing accuracy Maintain organized AR records and assist with monthly closings Prepare AR aging reports and performance summaries
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in the construction or specialty trades sector Working knowledge of AIA billing, lien releases, and project-based invoicing Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Viewpoint) Must be able to work at a proficient Excel skill level Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business preferred Join our team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial health while contributing to a collaborative work environment.
