We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk with a proven background in the construction industry to join our growing team in Saint Augustine, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of our construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes. 100%

High School Responsibilities Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable, including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, and processing payments to vendors and subcontractors.
- Manage accounts receivable, including preparing and submitting invoices, tracking payments, and assisting with collections.
- Assist with payroll processing, including collecting timesheets, verifying hours, and ensuring accurate wage calculations, particularly for prevailing wage projects.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and various general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both physical and electronic, in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.
- Prepare and generate various financial reports, such as project cost reports, expenditure analyses, and budget comparisons.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other internal teams to ensure accurate job costing and financial tracking for construction projects.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.
- Handle general administrative and clerical duties as needed, including answering phones, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and inquiries from vendors or internal staff. The essential functions of this role include:
