Hotel Accounting Clerk (part of IHG Hotels & Resorts) 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Saint Augustine, FL 32084 ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports using company-specific accounting software Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and checks by saving documents properly on the network Confirming subcontractor billed working hours, bonuses, and projects Assist Controller with Month End and Year End Process All other duties as assigned by the supervisor Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including separation of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine Accounting Reports and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on Excel and working knowledge of M3, highly preferred, General Ledger experience is preferred but not required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate degree on Accounting preferred. Three plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
