The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in QuickBooks desktop and online software. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding to the general ledger. Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies. Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable activities. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses as needed. Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with SOX regulations. Collaborate with the human resources department on employee-related expenses and reimbursements. Utilize QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and other financial software for data entry and reporting purposes. Conduct thorough analysis of accounts payable data to identify trends or issues. Support the accounts receivable team when necessary to ensure smooth financial operations. Skills Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel is a must) Experience with governmental accounting practices is a plus. Strong 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry. Familiarity with accounts receivable processes is beneficial. Ability to analyze financial data accurately and effectively. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements is preferred. Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is a MUST Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
