( hospital, SNF, Dr Office, Client, IL/AL facility) Overview We seek a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in managing the company’s financial obligations by processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in financial software. Duties Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices and ensuring proper approvals are obtained. Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities and transactions. Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable in accordance with GAAP. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist with tax-related matters as they pertain to accounts payable. Utilize Quicken and other financial software to manage accounts effectively. Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies. Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly in corporate accounting. Proficiency in financial software, including Quicken or similar applications. Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry. Familiarity with GAAP standards and journal entry processes. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
