In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of debits and credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting, along with experience in public accounting. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Quicken is essential. Responsibilities Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and payment processing. Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities in the general ledger. Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable transactions. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate coding of expenses. Assist with month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports. Support payroll management functions as needed, utilizing systems such as UltiPro or Ceridian. Ensure compliance with technical accounting standards and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. Strong understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting. Experience in public accounting is preferred but not required. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Quicken; familiarity with UltiPro or Ceridian is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
