This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Savannah office. The Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialists plays a key role in supporting the accounting department through performing accounts receivables duties, preparing weekly invoices to customers, researching and reviewing necessary account discrepancies and adjustments. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Accurately process and record customer payments in billing software; utilize remote deposit capture for bank deposits. Accurately process weekly customer bank auto drafts and review/confirm credit card payments for services. Review and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging report, research and communicate overdue balances to the Billing Manager and Customer Service. Assist with maintaining financial spreadsheets. Review and post returned customer payments. Process late fees and send notice of delinquency via automated call. Process cutoffs for delinquent accounts and communicate with customer service. Prepare and process a large volume of weekly water utility billing statements adhering to deadlines. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, leak adjustments, disconnects, and meter replacements. Perform other accounting-related projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Associate’s degree in accounting, or related field desired 1-5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Billing desired Experience in NetSuite software and Tyler ERP Pro 10 software preferred Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge to include excel skills Strong time management and organizational skills High degree of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Water Utility Management (WUM) is Georgia’s largest privately owned operator of community water and wastewater systems, proudly serving over 30,000 households across 17 counties since 1970.
