Job Description
Bookkeeper
Established client seeks a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage and maintain the financial workflow of their company’s services. In this Bookkeeper role, you will maintain financial records, assist with budgeting and forecasting, manage accounts payable/receivable transactions, enter internal data into QuickBooks, process weekly payroll, prepare local wage taxes, coordinate with external tax accountant and vendors as necessary, monitor account analysis, and basic HR tasks. The ideal individual will have strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Enter and process accounts payable/receivable
- Maintain general ledger
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Assist with payroll compliance/deductions
- Maintain internal file/record keeping system
- Post journal entries
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Prepare cash reports
- Spreadsheet Maintenance
- Light office support
The ideal Bookkeeper will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Bookkeeper role include and are not limited to: - 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Construction industry experience a big plus
- Marksystems software (homebuilding software) is a plus
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
