Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In Fulton, Georgia

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a Contract to Permanent basis in Alpharetta, Georgia. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial operations by processing invoices, handling account coding, and ensuring accuracy in payments. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong organizational skills and a background in accounting, particularly within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process and code a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Collaborate with multiple divisions to address and resolve payment-related requests.
• Manage check and permit requests, maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Address a backlog of invoices, prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Utilize ERP and accounting software systems to streamline financial processes.
• Build out and manage a utilities module within the accounting system.
• Review and process job cost invoices, ensuring proper allocation and documentation.
• Apply advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze financial data.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting functions.
• Proficiency in ERP and accounting software systems, with experience in Intelinetix preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and job costing.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Familiarity with construction accounting processes is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
