Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In Fulton, Georgia

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia. This Contract-to-continuing position offers an opportunity to manage diverse financial tasks while working closely with multiple divisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to support accounting operations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Manage check and permit requests in a timely and organized manner.
• Communicate effectively with various divisions to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle a backlog of invoices, maintaining precision and focus under deadlines.
• Utilize accounting software systems.
• Build out and manage utilities modules to optimize workflow processes.
• Process job cost invoices for construction-related projects.
• Use advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and vlookups, to analyze and report financial data. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounting functions.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and auditing processes.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
• Background in construction accounting is highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for cross-department collaboration.
