Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Accounting Clerk to join our team in Gainesville, Georgia. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone with expertise in accounts payable processes and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. The role involves managing invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor communication to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Match purchase orders with invoices and receipts, verifying quantities, amounts, and adherence to guidelines.
• Investigate discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and payment schedules, ensuring all transactions are accurately documented.
• Maintain organized records of accounts payable activities, both in digital and physical formats.
• Generate detailed reports on accounts payable operations and escalate unresolved matters when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and financial controls in all payment activities.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency in accounts payable workflows. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable roles, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve variances.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and colleagues.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage large volumes of invoices and ensure accurate documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and general accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
