Job Purpose:
The Accounting Assistant will assist the accounting department with data entry, processing and recording transactions, daily deposits, general ledger postings, preparing reports, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide support to the Accounting Department. Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, daily deposits. Posting orders as received in the Purchasing System. Process transactions, issue checks and update ledgers, budgets, etc. Prepare financial reports. Prepare various schedules in excel.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience Associates degree in related field preferred or a minimum of two-years work experience required Experience with accounting programs. Proficient in Excel.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills along with attention to detail. Adaptable, flexible and a fast learner. Ability to multitask, to manage time and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
