POSITION SUMMARY
Revenue Cycle/Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for accurately and efficiently posting payments, adjustments, and remittance information from a business-to-business (B2B) customer base within a specialty distribution setting. This role ensures all incoming payments from customers and third-party partners are recorded and reconciled promptly and accurately to support timely recognition and account reconciliation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Post electronic and manual payments, adjustments, and remittances from B2B customers and third-party partners into the ERP system. Reconcile daily cash deposits, lockbox activity, and wire/ACH transfers, ensuring all funds are accurately applied to open receivables. Review remittance documents and payment files to ensure correct posting to customer accounts and invoices. Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and other discrepancies in coordination with AR and collections teams. Communicate with internal teams and external customers to clarify payment applications and resolve variances. Support month-end close processes. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold internal controls to ensure compliance with company and audit standards. Stay informed on B2B customer account requirements, contractual terms, and billing arrangements. Monitor Accounts Receivables email inbox for corresponding remittance detail for credit card payment and ACH/EFT payments. Prepare detailed, accurate and organized accounts receivable reconciliations for customer requests as well as internal requests. Additional tasks/duties as assigned by Finance Management and Supervisor/Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Express Scripts or Cigna Contractor. High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1+ years of cash posting experience in a B2B environment, preferably within specialty distribution. Strong understanding of invoicing, remittance processing, and account reconciliation. Experience with ERP, accounting, or financial systems (e.g., SAP and TPS) preferred. High attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizations skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office tools. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 21 – 31 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
