Full Job Description Job Summary:
Next Level Solutions is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support one of our key clients in a full-time, dedicated capacity. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, sometimes chaotic environment and enjoys bringing organization and structure where there may be little to start with. As a consulting firm, we’re often hired to resolve messy financial situations, so comfort with ambiguity and minimal direction is a must. This role includes core accounting responsibilities such as Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), reconciliations, invoicing, and general ledger management. There is also strong potential for growth into payroll processing responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties Process and manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations Maintain and update the general ledger Prepare, review, and distribute invoices Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support financial reporting and audit preparation Administrative Support Attend internal and client meetings as needed Process paperwork and manage documentation accurately Support various operational and clerical tasks Potential Payroll Duties [Future/Growth Opportunity] Assist with 1099 and certified payroll processing Opportunity to expand into employee W-2 payroll based on proficiency Ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations and client-specific policies
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role Solid knowledge of A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and general ledger management Familiarity with payroll processes is a plus (or willingness to learn) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Comfortable working in a fluid, hybrid, and fast-paced environment
