•H & H Lure Company , a distribution facility that ships fishing tackle and various other hunting and marine products, is seeking a full-time bookkeeper who is motivated and seeks a challenging position. Experience with general ledger accounting, accounting software, and general clerical duties are required. Regular attendance, punctuality, and professional/personable attitude are required. Accounting degree preferred, though experience will be considered.
Must possess knowledge of:
Sales Tax Payroll Tax Preparation Excise Tax Financial Statement Preparation/Analysis 1099/W2/W4 Preparation Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable General duties and responsibilities: Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions Balance accounts by reconciling entries Maintain general ledger Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries Maintain historical records by filings documents Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends Complies with federal, state and local requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, advising management on needed action Perform bank reconciliations Prepare monthly and quarterly reports Accounts receivable Accounts payable Skills needed: Knowledge of Quickbooks, and other accounting software Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to meet deadlines Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Well organized with attention to detail and able to multitask Self starter and able to prioritize Salary listed in job description is negotiable based on experience/education.
