Accounting Specialist Position Available In Jefferson, Louisiana

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist for our client based in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will handle a variety of financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting billing functions. Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records
• Oversee billing functions, including the preparation and submission of invoices
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial operations and reporting
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial standards and organizational policies
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation for auditing purposes Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as Ceridian and Concur
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations with attention to detail
• Experience in auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Solid understanding of billing functions and financial reporting
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
