Accounts Payable Specialist
Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role will be a crucial part of the team, where you will be tasked with various responsibilities ranging from processing expenses to maintaining records and resolving issues related to Accounts Payable. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process, log, and mail checks, while also handling any special expedited requests
• Execute daily procedures and controls in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with our company policies
• Maintain the administrative and clerical needs of the Accounts Payable/Finance Department
• Provide assistance during internal and external audits as required
• Open, sort, and distribute mail to the department on a daily basis
• Provide excellent customer service to our internal business partners
• Verify, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other related documents
• Handle special projects as assigned by the team
• Update and reconcile sub-ledger to General Ledger
• Resolve any arising Accounts Payable issues
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Solid grasp of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures
• Knowledge and understanding of Accrual Accounting
• Proven experience in Auditing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with High-Volume Invoicing
• Ability to handle High-Volume Data Entry efficiently
