Job Description

Where do you see yourself at Dupuy? Dupuy Group is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our New Orleans location. This position will work closely with the Controller to ensure the completion of all core accounting tasks leading to the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational and deductive skills and the ability to work cooperatively with multiple departments to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements. What you will be working on: Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments and receipts Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment Process cash/ACH/wire payments from customers to maintain up-to-date AR Manage collection activities on delinquent accounts Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, assist in preparation and maintenance of all applicable supporting schedules including prepaids, fixed assets, and more Post journal entries to the general ledger to maintain accurate financial records What we are looking for: High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Accounting Three to five years of accounting experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and similar administrative software Moderate to advanced Excel skills CPA or CPA Candidate not required, but a plus What’s in it for you: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Supplemental Insurance through Aflac 401k retirement plan with employer match Paid time off/sick days/paid holidays Employer paid STD/LTD/Life Insurance The Dupuy group was founded in 1936, and has evolved into a diversified global logistics and storage provider with more than 2.7 million square feet of strategically located warehouse space and 21st Century technology.
