Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this Contract position, you will play a critical role in managing financial records, overseeing receivables, and ensuring efficient cash collection processes. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a background in accounting principles. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Process and track accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Reconcile income accounts regularly to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Download financial reports and reconcile them with the general ledger to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts receivable activities
  • Utilize accounting software, including Oracle, to manage and streamline financial processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address and resolve account issues.
  • Monitor billing and collections to maintain efficient cash flow.
  • Apply cash payments accurately to customer accounts and ensure proper documentation.
  • Identify and address any inconsistencies or errors in financial records. Requirements
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable and financial reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software; experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with billing, cash applications, and collections processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
