Instep Federal Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support our accounting operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial transactions and back-office functions. Key Responsibilities:

Perform GL and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies. Monitor daily GL activity and research out-of-balance discrepancies. Balance and verify daily G/L transactions and prepare journal entries. Process Federal Reserve return items and handle EFT disputes & government reclamations. Review, code, and process invoices for payment. Assist with Visa credit card operations and provide backup for various back-office duties. Support accounting audits by working with internal teams and CPA firms. Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO or supervisor.

What We’re Looking For:

3-5 Years experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial transactions is a plus. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
